B.A.R.C.’s mission is to build a self-supporting animal rescue centre for dogs and cats. We will, through good health-care and rehabilitation, prepare them to thrive in home environments. We strive to build harmonious relations within the local community, and a place where citizens visit when they are ready to welcome pets into their homes.
The Student Chapter of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians, RUSVM chapter, was established in April 2020, as a combination of two formed clubs, SAFE and PAWS. These two separately run student organizations decided to come together for the good of the animals on St. Kitts.
Their goal is to protect animals from neglect, save animals from emergency, and help the community take care of their beloved pets.
Dogs and cats in need are cared for at Ponds Clinic on St. Kitts by vet students attending Ross until they can find a foster or adoptive home.
With no shelters on the island of Nevis,
Nevis Animal Speak is working through social media to develop a foster project helping to facilitate the pairing of needy animals on Nevis with temporary homes and on to furever homes either on Nevis or abroad.
This Project runs solely on volunteers and donations.
